MacroFab, Inc.

Account Executive

Sales  |  Full-Time  |  Exempt

Company Overview

MacroFab is a technology-driven electronics manufacturing platform that connects engineers and supply chain leaders directly to a network of vetted contract manufacturers. We operate at the pace of an agile startup — fast-moving, collaborative, and metrics-driven — while delivering the quality, reliability, and scale that hardware companies depend on. Our Account Executives play a central role in bringing new customers onto the platform and growing the accounts already on it.

Position Summary

The Account Executive is a quota-carrying sales role responsible for two connected goals: winning new logo customers and expanding existing accounts. The role is weighed primarily toward new business acquisition, driven largely by inbound demand lead generation and supplemented by some targeted outbound prospecting, alongside an ongoing responsibility to deepen and grow the company's existing customer base. This is a dynamic, high-activity role suited to someone comfortable working in an evolving, startup-paced environment where priorities shift quickly and initiative is expected.

Key Responsibilities

New Logo Acquisition (Primary Focus)

  • [~50%] Inbound lead management — respond to, qualify, and converts inbound leads from engineers and supply chain professionals evaluating the MacroFab platform.
  • [~20%] Outbound prospecting — proactively targets Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) companies and reach key titles in engineering and supply chain, primarily via email and text with some phone outreach, to generate new pipeline.
  • Follow up on and schedule platform demonstration calls and initial prequalification meetings with prospects.
  • Overcome objections and answer technical, commercial, and process questions that arise during the sales cycle.
  • Clearly explain MacroFab's capabilities, scope of work, and services, and speak credibly to quality, delivery timeline standards, and quality/service metrics.
  • Act as a champion and advocate for the MacroFab platform experience, articulating its advantages relative to a traditional contract manufacturer.

Existing Account Expansion

  • Meet directly with engineers and supply chain leaders at existing accounts to drive additional design uploads to the platform.
  • Grow order volume and value on existing designs already in production.
  • Expand the base of active, spending users and engineers engaging with the MacroFab platform within each account.
  • Build, nurture, and foster strong relationships with customer stakeholders to identify and act on expansion opportunities.
  • Schedule and lead monthly and/or quarterly account reviews; revisit and customize payment or commercial terms as a lever for expansion.
  • Schedule platform demos to walk existing customers through new features and enhancements while discussing expansion related opportunities.

Account Integrity & Advocacy

  • Overcome objections and resolve issues at the account level as they arise, owning problems through to resolution.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for customers, elevating concerns to the appropriate teams and following through on resolution.
  • Partner cross-functionally to relay customer feedback to the product and development teams to help shape the platform roadmap.

Professional Development

  • Participate in company-sponsored training sessions and team meetings to stay current on products, tools, and sales methodology.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated success in a quota-carrying sales role, ideally in a high-velocity or platform/SaaS-style sales motion.
  • Comfort managing a full sales cycle — from inbound response and outbound prospecting through demo, negotiation, and close.
  • Experience or strong aptitude selling to technical audiences (engineering, supply chain, or manufacturing/operations buyers).
  • Confident, consultative communicator who can handle objections and navigate multi-stakeholder accounts.
  • Organized and disciplined with CRM hygiene, follow-up cadence, and account planning.
  • Adaptability and self-direction — thrives in a fast-changing, startup-like environment rather than a rigid, process-heavy one.
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or contract manufacturing is a plus but not required.

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, standard business hours.
  • Weekends off.
  • 10 paid holidays per year (may vary year to year).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary plus uncapped commission, commensurate with experience and verifiable results.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Company-sponsored events throughout the year.

Additional Requirements

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
