Job Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in ensuring that all Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) meet established quality standards and customer specifications. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying product compliance throughout the manufacturing process and final assembly, with a strong focus on IPC-A-610 standards, ESD controls, and defect prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process and final inspections of PCBAs using magnification tools, AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), and test equipment.
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 Class 2 or 3 standards for soldering, component placement, and workmanship.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and support new product introductions (NPI).
- Document and report non-conformances (NCRs) and assist in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment as required.
- Review manufacturing travelers, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) to validate product configuration.
- Monitor and enforce ESD, safety, and cleanliness protocols in accordance with internal procedures.
- Assist in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Accurately complete inspection records, quality checklists, and documentation for traceability.
